Collection & delivery
Free prescription collection and local delivery is available from Bodriggy surgery. You can post your prescription to us, or simply tell us which surgery it can be collected from.
For peace of mind, send prescriptions by First Class Recorded Delivery — your post is tracked and tends to arrive sooner. Please include your contact details in case a pharmacist needs to discuss anything on the prescription.
Unsure about a new item, or have a question before you post it? Call us first and we’ll talk it through.
Surgeries can also fax prescriptions directly to us to speed things up — we’ll collect from there. Delivery itself is always free, arranged by delivery driver, registered post or courier as suits you best.
Domiciliary care
Medicine-administration support built around each patient and each care home, including:
- Establishing the individual needs of each patient and care home

Alongside convenient late-night opening, seven days a week, we also provide:

Unwanted medication
From time to time you’ll have unused or date-expired medication that needs safe disposal under various regulations — different rules apply to normal medication, controlled drugs, hazardous waste and sharps.
Pharmacies are obliged to accept unwanted medicines back from patients. We sort returns into solids (including ampoules and vials), liquids and aerosols as required, and our waste contractor collects at regular intervals. Changes to Hazardous Waste Regulations mean certain items require additional segregation.
Guidance for pharmacies is published by the Department of Health as Health Technical Memorandum 07-06: Disposal of pharmaceutical waste in community pharmacies. If you’re unsure how to dispose of something, bring it in and we’ll advise.
